Remember the feeling.
Do you remember the what it felt like when you first heard that you were nominated for a YWCA Woman of Distinction Award? Do you remember what it felt like to walk into the grand ballroom to the sound of bagpipes and thunderous applause?
We remember meeting each of the nominees, and being in awe of your achievements and how humble you were about those achievements.
As we gear up for the 2016 PotashCorp Women of Distinction Awards, we’d like to ask you to reflect on who inspires you, who supports you, who leads in your community, and who deserves to be recognized for the contribution she is making to Saskatoon.
Nominations are now open for this year’s awards and we are looking to you to help us identify nominees for this year.
The Award Categories are:
Arts, Culture and Heritage Award
Community Building Award
Health and Wellness Award
Leadership and Professions Award
Research and Technology
U29 Award for Young Women
Lifetime Achievement Award
The Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes a woman who has been an exemplary leader over the course of her lifetime, in one or more fields, and who has served as a role model for our community. All nominees for the Lifetime Achievement Award are also nominated for a secondary award category. A recipient will only receive one award per year. A short list is not announced for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Only the final Lifetime Achievement Award recipient is announced.
